Character-education grants unite kids and communities!

You may be eligible for a $500 character-education grant if you incorporate a character-building community service project into your lesson plans!

The goal is for your class to plan and execute a project benefiting the community – and grow personally doing it. The project must offer kids a real-life way to apply their studies and allow them to reflect on their growth through class discussion, essays or journals.

Projects must take place during school hours and involve at least 20 students. Currently, both public and private schools, grades kindergarten through 12, qualify for financial assistance. Here is a list of participating schools.

Just fill out our simple application and send it to us. We will notify you when your grant is approved, and your school will receive the funding two weeks before your project begins.

Once approved, you will need to submit the following:

1.  A one-page summary describing your project and its accomplishments.

2.  An expense form with receipts.

3.  Before your project, administer a simple Pre-Test Survey.

4.  After your project, administer a simple Post-Test Survey, to measure how kids grew from the experience.

5.  Original student thank-you notes addressed to the project sponsor. Here are some recent examples.
